The 5 Fingers You Need To Get A Death Grip On Your Market

Pull Fence Sitters Down On Your Side...
If you haven't read my previous post on the importance of digital foundation, I suggest you read it here first before continuing.

Now onward to Pillar 2: Marketing.

I want to talk to you about how to completely dominate your local market, with the Five Finger Death Grip, and increase revenue like never before.

So, what are the "5 Fingers" of local marketing?

1. First up is Facebook - with over 2 BILLION monthly active users on it, you CANNOT ignore this platform. Everybody is on it, and your website can actually learn about what Facebook users are interested in your business.

Jump straight to the video version of this blog post.

2. Next up is Google - THE search engine, and one of the most popular ad networks after Facebook. So many websites utilize the Google Ad network, which is good for you.

3. Then we have Email - if you’re not building an email list, start TODAY. You’re leaving money on the table if you don’t have an email list.

4. Good ol' Print Flyers - So many marketing companies completely gloss over this, mainly because they don’t know how to do it profitably. For local businesses, a stack of flyers can be worth it’s weight in gold, especially when you consider Lifetime Customer Value.

5. And finally, Radio - Radio is a little harder to track results with but it still works, and if you think it’s a dead medium, you’re dead wrong.

Just like in the Digital Foundation Pillar, each of these "fingers" or milestones, contain tasks and sub-tasks to setup and complete in order to dominate your local market.

Facebook for example, has custom conversions, audiences, split-testing, re-targeting, and so much more.

In this video, I’m going to show you something that give you value quickly, by showing you how to re-target your ideal prospects. The ones sitting on the fence deciding to go with you or your competitor, and really get a grip on them, pull them down on your side of the fence.

Other Ad Networks...
A lot of people have asked me about other ad networks like Taboola or Perfect Audience.

There are a LOT of them out there, but it gets to the point where you can over-saturate the digital side of your marketing efforts if you’re using half a dozen different platforms. If that happens, you’re going to end up spending way too much on ads and not making enough back.

My advice is to stick with the big 2 that just about everyone uses; Google, and Facebook.

I’ve also received comments and feedback saying “digital ads aren’t necessary, if you work hard, and provide a great service, your business will succeed.”

Well I’m sorry to tell you, but that’s an old school and dated philosophy. Now don’t get me wrong, you can absolutely survive, or make a living that way, but there’s also a chance it might not work out. 50% of businesses fail within the first 5 years. Go ahead and Google that.

Of all small businesses started in the United States in 2014, 50% of them failed. 2 big reasons were due to lack of capital, and poor marketing.

Maybe you’re fine today, but tomorrow you could have a competitor setup shop down the street from you. A competitor that provides a comparable service to yours, and believes in the power of advertising. If you don’t do it, someone else will.

Now, I’m not trying to go full scare tactic on you here or insinuating that you'll fail if you don't advertise. The main reason we do this is to grow your already established business.

Growth of your revenue, and taking back time.

So, get started with your re-targeting campaigns, and get ready to learn more in the next pillar post.
